Vecow's SPC-6000: Ultra-Compact with Fanless Processing Power
Our team of technical engineers were hard at work configuring more embedded systems last month - including rugged SPC-6000 units from Vecow, built by Production Technician Kym Bentham.
Don’t let their size fool you. These ultra-compact systems feature impressive processing power and a great number of high-speed I/O.
Each unit comes with a quad-core Intel Elkhart Lake Atom x6425RE processor, which delivers faster compute and better 3D graphics performance than the former generation of Intel low-power Atom processors.
We installed 8GB DDR4 SO-DIMM memory into the units, plus 128GB Transcend M.2 SSD storage. Each unit is identically built for perfect integration into the customer’s system.
The SPC-6000 is designed for tough environments, encased in a ruggedised, compact aluminium chassis that ensures durability in harsh industrial settings. With a single 12V DC power input and an impressive operating temperature range of -40°C to 70°C, it’s built for the demands of edge-based projects.
In addition to its robust design, the SPC-6000 is engineered to run VHub, an all-in-one AIoT solution platform. It supports OpenVINO-based AI accelerators, making it ideal for advanced edge AI applications such as computer vision, real-time analytics, and intelligent automation. The devices also adhere to CE, FCC, and RoHS standards, meaning they are ready to face harsh industrial applications.
Our UK-based engineering facility is prepared to fully configure compact systems, like the SPC-6000 embedded computer, to exact specifications. We optimise memory, storage, and peripherals, integrate Windows 10 IoT OS and configure each unit to ensure smooth integration and maximum performance every time. Our skilled team of engineers offer a solution that is perfectly aligned with the needs of our customers’ industrial projects.
Despite their small size, the SPC-6000 from Vecow are a rugged solution with numerous I/Os for flexible integration in Factory Automation, Traffic Vision, Robotic Control or AIoT applications.
